Sixteen Years have passed since the Babri Masjid demolition in Ayodhya incident but for those who know about it or witnessed it, it seems as if it was yesterday. What happened that day, was never happened before in the history of India. The Hindu-Muslim relations in India have never recovered since then and are always under threat.
The incident was not anonymous, nor it was accomplished under some instantaneous rage. Rather, it was all previously planned strategy of some religious leaders and political parties. The communal tension was at its peak and the controversial site where Babri Masjid stood was barricaded and security was tightened to avoid any mishap. Under the influence of Hindu Dharm Gurus and certain political groups, around 1.5 lac people were gathered in Ayodhya for the inauguration ceremony of the site and to lay the first bricks for the Ram Mandir at the Ram Janma Bhoomi. The day before the D-day, there was a mass rally organized by Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP), Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) and the Shiv Sena under the leadership of Mr. Atal Bihari Vajpayee and Mr. Lal Krishna Advani. Many speakers gave infuriating speeches about the alleged existence of the Ram Mandir at the place where Babri Masjid stood, and also that at the time of Mughal rule, the mandir was demolished by Babur and converted to the masjid. This further gave fuel to the fire already ignited in the hearts of ignorant public.
Despite the Supreme Court order, that Babri Masjid should not be harmed in any way during the process of the ceremony, angry mob stormed into the masjid premises and demolished it allegedly by pelting stones, sticks and trishuls they were having. Within no time, the masjid was rampaged to dust. The police and the security personnels felt helpless at the hands of the mob as the slogans of “Jai Shree Ram” rocked the atmosphere.
The aftermath of this incident resulted in the worst communal riots occurred in India since the time of Independence in 1947. The country was under chaos and over 2000 innocent people were butchered in various cities. Curfew was imposed in the sensitive areas and all schools and colleges were closed. Daily life of the people was affected to a greater extent. The Muslim community was shocked by the incident and this feeling of anger and dissatisfaction led some youth of the community to go against the law. The biggest and the most devastating example of this was the serial bomb blasts that took place in Mumbai (then, Bombay) on March 12th, 1993 which shook the whole world, and was considered as one of the most organized terror attacks till then. The blasts claimed more than 250 lives and injuring hundreds others.
The Pakistan supported Terrorism which is the biggest problem faced by Indians today, is the result of that day. Pakistani intelligence Agency ISI and also their government under cover have exploited the anger and dissatisfaction amongst Muslims in India and used it against Indians itself. They fund these ignorant Indians and infuriate them against their own country and cause havoc. The country which was once known for its peace and brotherhood, and also for the Unity in Diversity, is now facing such difficulties in controlling and avoiding these terrorist activities because of some insiders who do not want the people here to live a peaceful and happy life. The seed of hatred and terror, which was sowed then and irrigated by the blood of innocent citizens has acquired a dangerously big tree, filled with fruits in the form of terrorist activities, explosions, deaths, killings, massacres...

God will never save India as it is the God (Ram) responsible for the communal thought in India. God can only divide the people.
If you consider only Ram to be God you are wrong.
And more over, Ram did not preach to kill innocent people ever. So get your facts right first.
You are feeling the demolition of just one mosque. What about those temples destroyed by Muslim invaders including Babar?
Let me be VERY CLEAR, I am NOT supporting or condemning any particular religion or rule or government. By my post I just tried to show the causes of present day scenario regarding the relations of two main religions in India. I am proud to be a HINDU and will be. So as any other MUSLIM friend of mine.
Regarding the demolition of temples in the past, this post is not concerned to those incidents at all. Those are separate issues and hopefully me or you will highlight that aspect in future.

Well,I am not defending Gaurav but let me say Pratyush you are interested in hearing only things that are at par with your preset mentality.
Gaurav has made a right observation and you accuse him of being communal.How come anyone stating a truth becomes a communal ? More so when the fact is directly linked with the issue at hand.Or are you trying to say that anyone defending the cause of Hindus is communal while those who are are engaged in appeasement of Muslims are secular?
It’s time for you Pratyush to rise above double standards.You are trying to ” show the causes of present day scenario” but with closed mind and closed eyes.
One reason why Hindus are reacting violently is not because of Hindu religious Gurus or fiery speeches of BJP leaders.It’s because they have realized that if they do not care of their rights,they are soon going to be reduced to minority in land of their birth.
Is it mere coincidence that all the major Hindu temples are surrounded by mosques be it Ayodhya, Kaashi or Mathura?How that happened?The strategy is clear.Make everything controversial and then take advantage of so-called secular currents to gain an upper hand.
Let’s hope psuedo-secular forces come to rest to make India a better place for all the Hindus or for that matter all the citizens.

I don’t think Suryasnata that Pratyush sounds true.In fact,his observation confirms that he is mired in ignorance.He does not remember the fact that terrorism sponsored by Pakistan is not only causing trouble to India but also for rest of the world.It’s the epicenter of terrorism for the whole world.Have other countries also demolished some Babari Mosque to be at the receiving end of terrorism sponsored by Pakistan?
Needless to state that root cause of Islamic terrorism is flawed ideology that treats people belonging to other faiths as kafirs.
Don’t you think that religion is the root cause behind the ongoing turmoil all over the world, whether it be the Afghanistan, Pakistan, Middle East or Sri Lanka. What to do with such religion and god which divide the people?
In case of Babri mosque demolition all other factors are secondary and primary cause is the role played by these leaders.
It is generally thought that the Mosque was built by Babur because an inscription on the mosque records his name. Although there is a detailed account of the life of Babur in the form of his diary (Babur Nama), the pages of the relevant period are missing in the diary. But it is also alleged that the Mosque already existed before Babur, who may only have renovated the building. The contemporary Tarikh-i-Babari records that Babar’s troops ”demolished many Hindu temples at Chanderi”.

According to Jain Samata Vahini, a social organization of the Jains, ”the only structure that could be found during excavation would be a sixth century Jain temple”.
Sohan Mehta, the General Secretary of Jain Samata Vahini, claims that the demolished disputed structure was actually built on the remnants of an ancient Jain temple, and that the excavation by ASI, ordered by Allahabad High Court to settle the Babri Masjid-Ramjanmabhoomi dispute, would prove it.
Ayodhya was the place where five Jain teerthankars, Rishabhdeo, Ajeeth Nath, Abhinandanji, Sumati Nath and Anant Nath, stayed. The ancient city was among the five biggest centres of Jainism and Buddhism till 450 years ago, Mehta asserted quoting writings of 18th century Jain monks.[11] Jain body jumps into Ayodhya dispute, claims disputed site-

You are very right while saying that truth and emotions are at opposite ends.
Fascists allover the world have tried to cash the people’s emotions by telling them the wrong sides of history. Nazis did that in Germany and Indian fascists are doing it here in the name of temple.
To live without out bias and prejudice is a learning skill that takes many years of disassociating yourself from the brainwashing by the stronger influences in any society
